Celebrating Special Event: Inauguration 2016

Me and my friends (Almalia, Ridho, Igo, and Yolanda) decided to come an event and this event is very familiar to FIB occupant, the event is Inauguration 2016. Inauguration is one of the event which is include on Program Kerja Divisi Minat dan Bakat Lembaga Eksekutif Mahasiswa FIB, UGM. Inauguration is an annual program and has different theme each year.

In this year, the theme is “Y Generation” or “Generasi Y”. the theme was chooosen for teenager these days and we are part of th Y generation. This activity is a forum for FIB students in 2016 to create, and display the caractheristic and performances correspond each department. The goal of this event is to establish brotherhood between students FIB, both new students or old students. 

There are so many sequences of event in Inauguration 2016. There are Expression Night which is for display the caractheristic each department in a theater, vlog competition, Fashion Show, Mural Art competition, and the closing night was filled up with many guest star.

Inauguration this year was so amazing, the theme “Y Generation” mention our generation who always prior the technology and social media into our life and this event bring our awareness into it and doesn’t want to get the bad damage into our real life and our future.

My Past Regret

When I was in grade 11, I was very happy when I received the news that the band that I like to would come to Jakarta. Me and my sister suddenly became hysterical caused knowing that. We immediately searched for more info on the internet and social media on the news. Yes, me and my sister so glad because the band that we like would coming and our favorite band is One Direction.

At that moment it was like we wanted to directly buy tickets and wanted to have it. In 2014 we had the opportunity and allowed by our parents to watch the concert to be held in 2015. We both also have a plan to invite our brother to come watch. That would be better together even though he didn’t like One Direction. Heheheh

Without any approval yes or no from my brother, we've bought tickets for him and assumed that until the day he will come with us to watch. We have already been through the year, a few days more until the concert will be held. And then my brother said he couldn’t come to the concert because it was on the weekday, and he couldn’t leave his campus activities. At that moment I was very mad with him because I underestimated the reason that doesn’t support it.

At that point I was not going to school, and I was very angry at my brother because he didn’t want to give a little time for us. Me and my sister was confused, the tickets already in our hand we didn’t know  what to do, eventually, I tried to sell it. And finally, the ticket was purchased by my friend. Me and my sister worried because we've been through a lot of challange to get the tickets, and when my brother said he could not come with us, I was very angry with him. And maybe I have not had time to apologize to him.

When I entered the college, I know very well how hard it is when leaving one course and feel how busy in the uni life, so I couldn’t leave behind the campus activities. And now I feel the same way when my brother told me he could not leave his college. I was forcing him at that time to something that was not his priority (because he didn’t like One Direction) and I have underestimated the matters that he did, especially in the uni life.

Visit Museum Affandi

Ok, in this opportunity I’m going to share to you about what I get from visited Museum Affandi. As we know each other, Affandi was an Indonesian artist and most people know if Affandi was from Yogyakarta, but the fact is he was from Cirebon. I got this information when I was visited the museum with my friends (Regita, Tido, Vita, and Yolanda). 

First thing first, Museum Affandi lies in Jalan Adisucipto 167, on the west bank of Gajahwong River. When you arrived at the page of the museum, you could see there are three galleries, which is permanently exhibit the collection paintings. The first gallery is used for the retrospective exhibition of Affandi’s works from his early years of painting until his last moments. Oh I forget tell you something, when we were at the museum, we were guided with Pak Hudan which is he was the alumnus on FIB UGM too. And he tell a little story about FIB and Sasindo (because we said we’re from Sasindo hehe).

The second gallery is used for exhibit the collection from famous artist, the artists have relation with Affandi’s life exactly. There are also Affandi’s great sketch paintings that I like. Affandi said that th sketch itu sama aja harganya apabila dijual, soalnya sama sama pake emosi yang sama saat dibuatnya. The last but not least, the third gallery is used for exhibit the collection from Affandi’s family.

For me, by visiting Museum Affandi, we can know about Affandi’s life without met him face to face. We could learn so much things from Affandi caused visiting this museum. Affandi inspiring me a lot. I think he is such a really nice person, he always see people or something who has suppressed. From that case, Affandi poured his imagination and reality into a canvas.

Affandi really interested to help someone on his circle life. I assumed this thing by saw his painting also get the information from Pak Hudan. The most important is, Affandi very love his family and loving animal or the fellow creatures.
