But the different between karedok and gado-gado is karedok use the raw vegetables. It’s look like an Indonesian salad and very healthy! Okay, let’s make KAREDOK!

The ingredients:

  • The vegetables:

-       Chinese long bean
-       Cabbage leaves
-       Basil leaves
-       Cucumber
-       Bean sprout

  • Peanut sauce:

-      2 tablespoon of fried or roasted peanuts
-      5 piece of small chilies
-      Shrimp paste
-      White ginger
-      Brown sugar
-      1 teaspoon salt
-      Water

Methods:
Grind all the peanut sauce ingredients and mix all the vegetables with the peanut sauce. And karedok is already served! You can add some fried red onions and fried emping if you want. Yummy, it’s easy, isn’t it? You could make karedok anytime and anywhere.

This karedok was made by Tiara, Wahyu, and me at the cooking class. :)
